Combustion Analysis
Tuning to a combustion analysis is the difference between a boiler that's running and a boiler that's running right. It tells you how completely the fuel is burning, what's going up the stack, and where efficiency is being lost.
The analyser samples the flue gas while the boiler is firing, and the burner is set against what it reads rather than against how the flame looks. Two boilers of the same make on the same gas can want different settings, and measuring is the only way to know which.
Ahead of the season
Annual Service
Scheduled ahead of the heating season, so problems surface while the building doesn't depend on the equipment yet.
That is the argument for putting it on a calendar instead of waiting for the phone call. The work is much the same either way — what changes is whether the building is relying on the boiler while it happens.
Found in September it is a work order. Found in January it is a building with no heat.
What the visit covers
More Than the Burner
A boiler is a cabinet in a room full of the things it depends on: the gas train feeding it, the flue carrying the products of combustion out of the building, the circulator moving heated water to where it is wanted, the isolation valves that let any of it be worked on without draining the rest, and the controls and safeties that shut the whole thing down before it can hurt anything.
An annual visit takes in all of it. Tuning a burner to a reading is the part that shows up as efficiency, and it is worth much less on a plant where something either side of the burner is already working against it.

Then came out Tuesday and replaced the A coil inspected everything and got us up and running and for a fair price. I highly recommended Arrow!
