A smart thermostat wired to equipment it doesn't fully control is a common and frustrating outcome — the app is handsome and half of what it offers does nothing, because the wiring behind the plate never reached that far.
The thermostat is only the part you touch. Behind it are the connections to the furnace, the air conditioner, and sometimes a second stage or a humidifier, and whether the new one runs all of that is a question of how it is wired and set up, not of the brand on the front. I asked a buddy who to call he gave me Jesse’s number he can out an hour later got us going for a day or so. Then came out Tuesday and replaced the A coil inspected everything and got us up and running and for a fair price. I highly recommended Arrow!
