One cabinet, both seasons
A packaged rooftop unit is most of a mechanical room in one cabinet — the heating, the cooling, and the fan that moves the air — sitting on the roof rather than inside the building. That is what makes it convenient, and it is also what makes it easy to forget.
Nobody walks past it. There is no closet door to open, no filter in a hallway, and nothing audible downstairs when a unit starts running longer than it used to. A good deal of what a scheduled visit finds up there would have been noticed months earlier at eye level.
From our own work
A packaged unit carries insulation on the inside of its panels so conditioned air does not give up its heat to the cabinet on the way past. When that liner lets go it stops insulating and starts shedding into the airstream — and none of it is visible until somebody takes the panel off.

Stripping a liner back to clean metal and fabricating panels to fit is a different proposition from replacing a cabinet that is otherwise sound — and it is the kind of thing a scheduled visit finds while it is still the cheaper of the two.
Quarterly, semi-annual, annual
4 visits a year
For equipment running nearly all day, serving high-traffic areas, or supporting temperature-sensitive operations.
2 visits a year
Once before the cooling season, once before the heating season. The right baseline for most buildings.
1 visit a year
For lighter-duty equipment and secondary spaces.
We'll set the schedule around your operation, not a default package.
Call 316-807-1713When one goes down
When a unit goes down, we diagnose it and give you The Straight Shot: what failed, what the repair involves, and what it will cost — before we start.
That order matters more on a roof than anywhere else on a building, because nobody who signs for the work can see the equipment. The account you get of it is the account we would want if the roof were ours.
Nothing starts before you know all three.
