Why Wichita Homeowners and Businesses Call Arrow

More than 20 years of experience. Owner-led, so the person handling your equipment is accountable for the result. Personal attention is our call to fame — it is what sets us apart from other servicing companies.

And before any work starts, you get The Straight Shot: what is wrong, what can be repaired, what can wait, and what each option costs.

The short version

The city
Wichita is the largest city in Kansas and the seat of Sedgwick County, and it anchors the largest metro area in the state.
What the weather asks
Triple-digit afternoons in July and hard freezes in January, in the same building, on the same equipment. A system here has to work in both directions, which is why we service the heating and the cooling side alike.
Where we work from
Haysville, immediately south of Wichita. That puts the city closer to the shop than anywhere else we go, and it takes up more of the calendar because of it.

Wichita questions

What Wichita Callers Ask Us

Five that come up across the metro, on houses and on commercial buildings alike.

Do you cover the whole city, or only one side of it?
The whole city. We work out of Haysville, immediately south, and Wichita takes up more of the calendar than anywhere else we go — east side, west side, and the older core between them. There is no zone we decline and no distance charge inside the metro.
What does it cost to have someone come out and look at it?
Troubleshooting and a repair quote is $130. If you are buying a house and want the equipment assessed before closing, that is the Equipment Inspection for Home Buyers — an hour on site and a written set of recommendations — for $250. Anything past those is quoted before the work starts.
My system is fine in summer but struggles in winter, or the other way round. Is that normal?
It is common here and it is worth looking at. A Wichita system has to handle triple-digit afternoons in July and hard freezes in January on the same equipment and often through the same ductwork, so a fault that only shows at one end of the year is easy to live with and easy to misread. Usually it is telling you something about the distribution or the sizing rather than about the unit itself.
Hail came through and the outdoor unit looks damaged. What now?
Flattened coil fins restrict airflow and make the system work harder than it was designed to, but they are not the same thing as a failed unit. What matters is whether the coil and the refrigerant circuit are sound underneath the cosmetic damage. We look and tell you which of the two you have — that distinction is also what an insurer will want established.
Do you do commercial work in Wichita, or only houses?
Both, out of the same shop. Rooftop units, boilers, chillers, make-up air units, paint booths, and walk-in coolers and freezers, for repair and on quarterly, semi-annual or annual maintenance schedules.
