What you're seeing
In this heat a system rarely goes quietly. These are the ones homeowners describe to us most often.
Any of these is worth a call. What's behind it is a question for the diagnosis, not a list — we find the cause on site before anything is replaced.
Service, maintenance and installation
Full service on all brands and types, from the first quote to the last screw. Whichever of these you are here for, the visit starts with finding out what is actually going on.
Your system runs but won't cool, or it won't start at all. We find what's actually wrong before recommending anything — the compressor, the capacitor, the coil, the refrigerant side, and the controls that govern all of it.
Keeping a working system working — a pre-season check of the parts that fail in July when nobody wants them to.
When repair no longer makes sense, we size and install the right system for your home rather than a match for whatever came out of it, and register the manufacturer warranty for you at no charge.
We service all makes and models, regardless of who installed them.

From our own work
The condenser is the part of the system that lives in Kansas weather, and it is the part most homeowners mean when they say the air conditioner. Replacing one is rarely a straight swap: the pad has to sit level, the line set has to suit the equipment going on it, the disconnect has to match, and the charge is set to the manufacturer specification once it is running.
None of that is visible in a price. It is visible on the pad afterwards, which is the only reason to show it.

All brands and types
Most homes cool through a split system — an indoor coil sitting in the airflow above the furnace, a condenser outside, and a line set joining the two. A packaged unit puts all of it in one cabinet outdoors instead, and ducts the supply and return through the wall or the roof.
Both are on the list, along with whatever else turns up. The work is the same shape either way: find what actually failed before anything is quoted, and size a replacement to the building rather than to whatever came out of it.
Repair or replace
This is the question most homeowners are really asking, and the honest answer is that it depends on your equipment, not on a rule of thumb.
Once we know what failed and why, you get The Straight Shot: what's wrong, what a repair would cost, what a replacement would cost, and what each choice means for the next few years. Then you decide.
We start with the diagnosis, not the assumption that it has to be replaced.
